This Mulberry burl piece was turned green(wet) then dried in the microwave. The mass of twisted grain in these sections is the perfect opportunity to turn thin pieces that will move when dried out. Creating a whimsical and special look, although starting out as a shallow bowl as you can see letting the wood be wood is exhilarating. Also creating a wonderful tactile surface of the bowl itself.
