Box Elder carved sphere. Dark and mysterious. This piece is a little more literal than I normally do but it’s not the first and won’t be the last. I still wanted to keep it a little figurative as well. I wanted the carving to create a sense of feathers. This piece of Box Elder was the perfect canvas for creating some eye catching movement with the carving and color. The base represents the precarious balance of nature and art.
