Spalted Maple hollow vessel. This hard maple is beautiful. Wonderful colors in this spalted wood. I love when I’m able to work with wood like this. So I have had this piece in the works for a while, just got around to finishing it. I did color this piece with several different tones. I wanted to play around have some fun with it. Since the zone lines were very pronounced, it was a great canvas for some color. It does create a general chaotically soothing feel about the piece.
