Using some Claro Walnut burl to sculpt this bear in the abstract. I’m always looking for ways to use an untold number of burl and beautiful wood pieces that I have. These small pieces have to be used. Not to be discarded, they are just too beautiful to throw away.
I read somewhere recently that wood is more rare in the universe than diamonds. Which after realizing it…it’s absolutely true. There are plenty of diamonds floating around in space, but there’s only one place we know of that has wood. Right here on Earth. So by that logic wood is very rare and beautiful wood even rarer. Something to think about anyway.
