Black Walnut hollow vessel. Beautiful and lustrous and very smooth. The wood has a wonderful mocha brown hue. What an absolute joy to work with. The carving adds a little more of that something that I just feel needs to be said. The contrast between the blue and dark wood is what I’m going for here. I enjoy exploring what stories can be told while keeping the wood visible.
